Cosy Train Sim Station to Station Announced

The fine folks at PRISMATIKA and Galaxy Grove have dropped a new announcement trailer for their upcoming cosy train sim, Station to Station. This one blends 3D animation with pixel art visuals to give a unique look at rural life (through clouds of steam, we have to assume). Station to Station is launching later this year, but after seeing the trailer, it’s one we’re very excited about right now.

What is Station to Station about?

From what we’ve seen today, Station to Station is going to be a gosh darn cosy train sim. We’re told that players will be tasked with transforming a local, rural world into a vibrant and lush environment. You’ll place stations and track to create connections which meet the needs of the local people, creating growth for the area and expanding into new territory.

It will be incredibly interesting to see how the teams handle this, as growth (in the way that we know it) pretty invariably comes with capitalist ideals which might be against the cosy grain of the title. The trailer does scream “take it at you own pace”, however, and it looks like players will be treated to a very laid back affair. This, paired with tilt-shift inspired voxel-art environments, really looks to provide a cosy train sim title which is set to be pretty unique.

The game will bring varied colourful biomes, where players will need to bring life to barren desert landscapes. We’re hoping to be able to cover this one more, a little closer to release. In the meantime keep up with the developer over on Twitter or Discord and don’t forget to wishlist on Steam if Station to Station looks up your alley.
