Review – Planet Coaster Vintage and World’s Fair Bundle
We really enjoyed last year’s console release of Planet Coaster on current and last-generation PlayStation and Xbox. We were very happy to hear that Frontier were bringing the Vintage and World’s Fair bundle DLC to console, and it’s available now for fellow console enthusiasts.
The bundle brings two separate packs together for those theme park specialists who are fans of the old-fashioned aesthetic. The World’s Fair and Vintage packs are available separately or together, and bring a fair few new rides, coasters, scenery and decorations. The vintage pack takes us for a look back in time with a high-brow trapeze playground and a barbershop quartet among other decorative items, as well as two brand new coasters and five flat rides.
The World’s Fair provides a further three rides, as well as paying homage to cultures from around the world to decorate your park. Each country has its own unique theme, allowing you to fully immerse yourself and your guests in a whole host of new shop, restaurant and scenery items.
Thankfully for those who have already been using their creative instinct, the two packs and everything in them are fully compatible with the Frontier Workshop. You can still share all of your creations with friends, as well as adding on items from the new packs, who will be able to use them in their parks as long as they have the corresponding DLC.

There are some wonderful new creative options within these two, and it’s great to see them available together at a discount with the Vintage and World’s Fair bundle DLC. All in all if you grab the two together you’ll get:
The vintage pack has brought all the fun of the Victorian Fayre to our many parks, with a charming early-1900s aesthetic available through a good range of rides and scenery. With animatronic barbershop quartets, old world fairground stalls and some great art deco buildings, we’ve been busy designing retor-inspired areas which seem to fit with any style park we’ve made. However, while I’ve really enjoyed my little vintage area, it has paled in comparison to the various cultural areas I’ve forged using the World’s Fair items.

With themes from China, USA, France, Morocco, Italy, Germany, Japan, UK, Mexico, and Spain, the World’s Fair pack really does let your park go global. I’ve been using these in focused groups to provide zones dotted around the park for the various countries. All in all, this is definitely a pack I’m happy with, and with a fairly low price point it’s absolutely worth a look for anybody who wants to add a little cultural or vintage flavour to their parks. It’s one which has provided a good bit extra, and some ever-welcome diversification for our various park areas.
If you haven’t checked out Planet Coaster Console Edition yet, you can do with our full review video just below, or the extended review which we released back last year. Either way both come with our common sense parent’s guide, and if you have any questions feel free to get them in the comments.
