Farming Sim 16-Bit Edition for Mega Drive, Incoming!
It’s a very retro turn of events in the modern day! The fine folks over at Giants Software have been collaborating with Strictly Limited to deliver a dedicated 16-bit release of Farming Simulator, for the Mega Drive! The new listing is live now on the Strictly Limited store, where you can pre-order the Limited or Deluxe edition before its May 14th release (though Deluxe is landing a little later in the year)
Farming Simulator 25’s Collector’s Edition included a retro-style cartridge version which proved to be incredibly popular. Because of this, we’ll soon see the dedicated 16-bit edition working on an honest-to-goodness Mega Drive, and it looks just as we’d like it to.

Farming Simulator 16-Bit Edition is a unique retro adaptation of one of our favourite slow-and-cosy titles. In addition, as our office still has an original Mega Drive II console hooked up for streaming, the retro vibe means that it’s one which we’re really looking forward to.
It’s been years since I’ve been genuinely excited for a new, physical, Mega Drive game. While the world has moved on a fair bit, it’s great to see GIANTS Software still working on nice-looking cartridge titles. Prospective cultivators will be able to pre-order and purchase Limited and Deluxe editions of Farming Simulator 15-Bit Edition exclusively through the Strictly Limited store.

Both will include a unique green cartridge, which will be fully compatible with Mega Drive/Genesis-like retro hardware. The Deluxe edition is limited to only 500 copies worldwide, and will also include additional collectable content such as the original soundtrack (on CD), cartridge holder, Mega Drive case, Deluxe Edition box and game manual.
In addition, a regular black cartridge version will be available through selected retail partners (VideoGamesPlus within North America and Amazon around the globe). Whether you’re looking at black, green, limited or deluxe editions, we love to see new games on older hardware. As retro gaming enthusiasts (you may have noticed) there’s something very odd but incredibly welcome about teams still using this older hardware.
We’re hoping to be able to take a look at the cartridge for Farming Simulator 16-bit edition in the near future, and either way we hope to see you back here or over on Twitch once again very soon for more retro hijinx,
