Elite Dangerous – Importing Console Ships to Coriolis
Those of you who have been playing Elite Dangerous for a little while may have built up a substantial fleet in this intragalactic space opera. One of the sites which our Pixel Bandits beginner’s guide links you to is Coriolis.io where you can view, modify and test different outfitting options. It’s a natural progression for CMDRs to look for an easier way to get a significant number of ships into the Coriolis platform without having to enter each detail manually, and a fair number of commanders ask how they can do that.
Well, thanks to the EDSM website and an API link you can get your fleet from the game into Coriolis fairly easily, even if you’re playing on Xbox or PlayStation, and you can find out how just here.
1 – Set up an EDSM account
This is definitely a step CMDRs should take whether or not you’re looking to connect with Coriolis. The EDSM online platform will allow you to keep tabs on many different aspects of your CMDR, including your CMDR profile, badges, fleet, logbooks and even a travel map
This will be the first step, as an EDSM account will allow you to link your in-game CMDR, regardless of platform. Don’t worry about using the same email address or having the same name as your console commander, as we’ll be sorting the game link out separately.

2 – Setting up the game link
Under your profile on EDSM, head to the Console Updater area. You should see an easy button here to set up the link to your console commander, and you’ll find an option to use PlayStation or Xbox account details. Sign in here with the details you have on your overall console account.
This again shouldn’t be the frontier account, but the one you log in with when you first turn your console on and log in to play any game. Once this is done, we’ll start getting details populated
3 – Populating your data
In order for the Console Updater to pick up the various bits and pieces it needs to populare your details, you need to be playing the game. This won’t update straight away, and you’ll need to have the console updater running for a little time to pick up all your information, while you are in game.
If you don’t use EDSM all the time, it will again take a little time to pick up all your details. It will give you the “last synced message” which will let you know when it’s fully up to date

4 – Getting your ships into Coriolis.io
With the hard work all behind you, after you have linked your console account to EDSM and populated, getting the ship details to Coriolis.io is remarkably easy. Head to your Fleet area on EDSM, hopefully now populated with all of the vessels in your inventory, and hit to See Ship Details. When in here, you should see two easy options fairly close to the top, including Coriolis and ED Ship Builder (also known as ED ShipYard).
Both of these sites will allow you to store ships, as well as move bits and pieces around to test how changes will affect your ship in game.
